A temporary structure is required for every stage, building, or construction project. It provides the necessary support and assistance. This structure and support are the foundation of a well-constructed stage or building. Scaffolding is the temporary support that supports materials on a stage, building or other man-made structure. In almost all construction-related activities, scaffolding is used.

There are several types of scaffolding, depending on the type of construction that you need to use. Supervisors worldwide use four main types, depending on the need:
Tube and Coupler (fittings) components
Prefabricated modular system scaffold components
H-frame / Facade modular system scaffolds
Timber scaffolds
Each type of scaffold is constructed with different materials and components. These components are combined to create the necessary support and structure for the construction materials. Coupler, transom and ledger are the most commonly used components in various types of scaffold. By building safe, well-structured buildings and stages, organizations ensure the safety and security of their employees. They must hire scaffold supervisors who continuously assess the risks and dangers to workers from the misuse of materials during construction. The supervisor will inspect the workplace for hazards that could occur or have the potential to occur. They will make recommendations to the management team to improve the workplace hazards for workers. The scaffold supervisor must receive the necessary training and assistance from qualified trainers. These trainers will guide them in helping workers to use the best materials for construction. How the candidate will inspect hidden hazards in constructions and give insights to improve it. To train candidates in scaffolding, the qualified trainers must have the necessary professional qualifications, sufficient knowledge, as well as experience.
The core responsibilities for any scaffold supervisor in an organization are:
Design and preplanning for the scaffold, including weight limitations, scaffold type and fall protection, tie offs, supports, etc.
Daily inspection and documentation of the scaffold’s condition and ability to be occupied safely.
After any changes or alterations, inspections of scaffolds have been done.
Inspections and oversight of mobile scaffolds.
Supervise the erection and maintenance of the scaffold

Final inspection of the scaffold before it is occupied for the first time.
Training of scaffold erectors and other competent people.

In addition to the above-mentioned responsibilities, scaffold supervisors must collaborate with management to provide all maintenance reports and requirements that are missing in the workplace. They also ensure that all components used in construction work in any part of the organization. Every component or material that is used in the construction of a scaffold must be tested during the repair process. These components include mudsills and screw jacks, frames and braces, planks, access ladders and brackets. The scaffold supervisor must train all scaffold workers who are assigned to him and give them basic knowledge about regular inspections of the structure within the organization.
All employees in the organization must be taught the steps to take in an emergency situation that could result in a death or other serious injury. The scaffold supervisors organize training sessions that cover basic safety in the workplace and the steps to take if they encounter any new threats during work hours. The scaffold standards are respected during these trainings, which helps organizations to preserve their legacy for employees. The more workers feel safe and secure, the higher their efficiency at work.
The Scaffolding Supervisor Course is offered worldwide to provide the best training and study material for candidates who wish to pursue a career in scaffolding. The techniques are described here
